My first week in Samara
I had a really good first week here in Samara! The town is small and surrounded by several different and really beautiful beaches. I worked all week and unfortunately the Wi-Fi at my place is not the best. It is not able to accommodate some of my video calls, so I have been having to use a hot spot. I have an e-sim that is set on a yearlong plan, so it is really easy to add more data to it, but it is not ideal. Honestly, I love using my e-sim so much. I have never had to find a physical sim card while traveling because I have always just used the app Airalo and then gotten a plan for whatever area I'm in. Right now, I have a global plan, and it is actually so cool to have the ability to use my phone from right when the plane lands. I think as more people learn about e-sims they are going to become the most popular choice because of how cost efficient and easy they are to use. Anywho, back to my week. I worked a lot and did some things on my computer that needed to be done after not opening my computer for an entire week. I spent my time off exploring the beach, walking around town, and researching for my next travel plans.
I have gone along a lot of the beach here and it is much different from the beach in Puerto Viejo. During the day the tide is really far out here and so you have to go far if you want to actually swim. This means I spend the majority of time in shallow water just sitting or barely floating and I also spend time sitting on the beach. I have not been gotten horribly sunburnt again which I am very grateful about. Also, on my days off I have been watching the sunset because during the week I have a class during the sunset time. So beautiful!
I have decided that I am going to spend my Christmas break in Nicaragua. I am only going to be on the Pacific Coast side, and I am really excited because it seems like there are many cool things to do. This week I am going to be booking all of that jazz and will keep you updated as that goes!
I am in this place for the next week and possibly for the week after that too. I anticipate that this week will be another week full of working and planning. Reese leaves Colorado in exactly one month and I am getting so excited for him to get here! We have been booking some of the last necessary things and I already know that we are going to have so much fun. So many wonderful things to look forward to!
