Work!

I am finally getting started working! Right now, it is a slow start but at least I will start making some money. Tuesday was my first day with the math tutoring company that I am working for, and it went really well! I saw some other tutors from the company talking about all of the problems that they had on Monday with not being able to see their lessons, students not showing up, and more but none of that happened to me on Tuesday! All of the students showed up, we did the lesson, and it went perfectly. My first group is 3 7th graders from Arkansas. They are silly but good so far. My second class is just one student. A super goofy and sweet girl. I will see these two classes three times a week until December! All my lessons are premade and really easy to follow. I am starting with another group next week and hoping to get at least one more from that company. I have two other companies that I am going to start working with and I will be tutoring English for them. One is a US based company that gets contracted by schools to bring in tutors (much like the math company) and the other one is based in China. The Chinese one is kind of rough because their peak hours of needing people are around 4am my time. The other hours are from 7pm-11pm on Saturday and Sundays. That also is not ideal, but I think I can make the Sundays work. We shall see!

Here is a picture of my work set up right now. I have a second monitor, and I am so grateful that I do. It makes everything so much easier.

Other than that, I went to yoga last night and I am planning to go again tonight. My back kinda hurts so I hope yoga helps that. I have a meeting later tonight about preparing for some jobs to teach English with the US based company. It is kind of funny because I thought that I would have started these jobs before I came to Costa Rica and now, I am just getting started. It is all good but definitely been a bit stressful.

Also, I just finished reading Into the Wild which was so good. My dad is supposed to recommend some books to me in Spanish so I can start practicing more Spanish. And speaking of family, Reese has an appointment to get his passport updated tomorrow! He is planning to come see me in January, so I hope everything goes alright with the passport appointment tomorrow! Very exciting stuff in a couple sectors of my life!
